RECLAIMING THERAPY – Intensive Training for Proactive and Preventative Group Therapy amid Distress

At this important time, we honour those who gave their lives for the Ukrainian Nation. We recognise our defenders and their families as they are incredibly important people who in their struggles protect Ukraine, the nation and the people. It is from these sacrifices that Reclaiming Therapy was born.

A deep bow to you all.

Reclaiming Therapy was developed and offered to the Ukrainian People at the international launch of the new mental health paradigm for soldiers and civilians alike.

Watch the video to hear the opening remarks by His Excellency, Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Ukrainian Ambassador to Australia & New Zealand.

“ReClaiming Therapy harnesses the capacity to hear the deep yearning of psychological buoyancy amid the mass of distress”

This approach evolved from the early days of the of Ukraine. I was able to speak to civilians in the moment of their distress, amid huge impacts and threats of death during the first wave of invasion into Northern Ukraine, then the ongoing bombardment of civilian targets, subsequent years of defending the nation and the on-going life of drones and missiles. This innovative approach is an early intervention paradigm and is proactive and protective in supporting quality mental health pervading through distressing times. The Saturday Support Groups and the development the Regeneration Program used a format of regular groups, with a focus on shared impacts and distress. The group would witness one person’s therapy steps and then in pairs, replicate their own steps within these triggers and then support their colleagues’ journey and resolution.

The group engages deeply in understanding the nuances of addressing complex and collective trauma, navigating the complexities of distress triggers, and guiding groups and clients towards profound transformation through emotional and somatic reclaiming of their identity and self-expression. The group participation in interactive sessions, being witness to small group practices to hone your therapeutic skills and develop a new understanding of trauma recovery. You will discover the significance of this therapeutic modality to address severe collective distress and foster enduring change in individuals’ and collective lives. Being proactive you redirect potential triggers of psychological impact and distress toward reclaiming your own well-being.
